Congratulations to Colaiste Dun Iascaigh student Max Zimmann on his exceptional Junior Certificate German exam result. Max’s ‘exceptional results in his Junior Certificate Examination, has seen him shortlisted to take part in a three-week language scholarship programme in Germany this summer.
The PAD scholarship is provided by the German Pedagogical Exchange Service and is funded by the German Foreign Office. The selection is based on the students’ performances in German in the previous Junior Certificate Examination. The best 70 students are invited by the Department of Education and Skills to an interview/language test at the Goethe Institute in Dublin in March each year.
Max’s German teacher, Ms. Pamela Lynch commented that Max’s hard work and close attention to detail were a credit to himself. Principal, Mr. Peter Creedon congratulated Max and Ms Lynch and on behalf of the school congratulated them on this fantastic achievement.
